Prestudies

Yesterday I went to Freiburg just to have some internet in order to check my mail and get in touch with my friends. Unfortunately no one was online :( So all I did was updating my blog and send some emails. One of the emails I received was concerning a room so I went to check that one out. They didn’t want me because I play the violin. It seems rather hard for me to find a room with a violin in addition. Everyone is turned off by a practicing violin girl :) If I don’t find anything during the next month I will start looking for an apartment all for myself. This way I don’t have to deal with anyone else and can invite as many friends as I want as often as I want to. If I make it into an orchestra there might be some people having a room who do not mind practicing.
This morning I woke up at 5 and could not fall back asleep and I sweat so much. My throat started getting sore so I took the candy my mom bought for those cases. It went away after a while. At 6:43 I got up to do some exercise on the floor and I started over with acts. I think acts is a great book and one can learn a lot from it. I left the house at 8:25 and my train was leaving 8:26 so I missed it today. Since I know myself I tried to get the train before the one I definitely have to get. So it is not really bad. I still have enough time. When I sat down at the train station I thought to myself I might as well use my time wisely. I took out my violin and practiced for 25 minutes. This was so great even though it felt a little awkward practicing out in the open with people listening to me practicing. It was important to me though and I will be confident tonight when I have to go to my audition. I know I can do it.
Today is my big day: First day of college and I am eager to see how it will go. By the end of today most of my schedule will be definitely set. Only Friday will be open and I don’t want to be one of the unlucky ones who have to go to class from 3 – 4 pm. This is the latest it can be. 2 – 3 pm doesn’t matter as much, because I still get home at a decent time when I happen to go.

I wish you much luck this semester!
I think that must be great to just be able to practice you instrument anywhere. What a great idea to just whip it out and play in the station. I'm sure those around you thought you were excellent!
