Sleeping Over :)
There is not much to tell you about today except for I am re-starting to get sick. I hope this will become better soon. I almost threw up today, too.
Mr. Vogel returned so we did not get the pleasure of being taught by Mr. Kanus. Oh well. One thing I noticed immediately was that our homework literally doubled just for the sake of French. This is what I detest. I can't help it, so I better live with it.
Today I got my piece for the Chirstmas concert. I have to work extremely hard for it in order to be done in two weeks but I WANT to perform. I might embarrass myself, but oh well, I better embarrass myself before my auditions than during my auditions. My violin lesson was enjoyable. Tonight I will go to school to watch a movie with my English class, since it is in German we have to do it after class and the only time where everybody who is interested is available is in the evenings. Theresa then had the splendid idea that I could sleep over at her house. My mom said that it was ok and so I will not be home tonight. Finally I am getting to socialize a lot more than before. So this is enjoyable.
For the rest of my time remainig I will practice and maybe do some homework...

I'm sure you will do perfectly fine on your violin solo. Of course... it is the experience that counts anyway.
Correction: It is incorrect to say "for the sake of French" in the context you intended. I understand what you meant, but you used the phrase incorrectly. Instead of me correcting you... think of another way to say it. (If you want to or have time to.)

just because of French. By the way I figured that it was incorrect, but I wanted to have a fancy expression and therefore hoped that you would say something. Maybe you still can find me a fancy expression :) Thanks for pointing out though...

Fanciness isn't always the best way to go. In fact it is almost never the best way to go unless you are really secure in the vocabulary and the use of it in the intended context. My suggestion to you is to concentrate on the flow of your writing and use of some more vocabulary that you don't normally use. Once your vocabulary expands then you will be better able to correctly use the words in phrases. If you jump form your normal vocabulary to more complicated phrases, it will often times sound 10x sillier because the exact construtction doesn't flow in the piece of work. If your point is clearer in simpler and a less amount of words this is the way to go! I don't mean baby words... I mean simplicity. You have to always think... which word is the best for this context.
My point is: Focus on clarity in your writing... not whether it is fancy enough or not.
But if you want fancy here you go... just for fun...
